雖然離開竹女都快三十年了 往事一幕幕仍清晰在眼簾
小禮堂 軍訓服 蜿蜒的迴廊 寧靜的圖書館 永遠跑不完的操場
激發潛能的平衡木 兌換獎品的文國書局........
許多的精采生活盡在其中
竹女的老師尤其令人難忘
把珍藏的幽夢影送我的呂秀玉老師
要喝就喝一百度不然就喝零度水 最嚴密的褚煜夫老師
用能量不滅定律詮釋所有東西都會自然散落地上的林秋妹老師
講解樂理鉅細靡遺要求嚴謹的音樂家徐晉淵 老師
帶領我們讀遍各種精選文章讓我愛上英文的丁庸嫻老師
以及
陪我們在213及313高地度過聯考煎熬日子的最高領導楊大江老師
在青澀懵懂的年輕歲月裡何其有幸在你們的關愛陪伴下長大
如今有女初長成 竟也成為我的小學妹 再續與竹女永生的情緣

Hallo, My name is Brain Kitts and I’m a principle here at Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg Virginia. I want to congratulate you all on 90 years, that’s very impressive. We’re only in the third year of being in our high school, so we’re envying that you all have been successful and that you have made it for 90 years, Congratulations! Pulled a special poem that we wanted to read to you all today to help you ,and hopefully encourage you and your future. It’s called “The Man That Thinks He Can” :
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you'd like to win, but think you can't
It's almost a cinch you won't.
Life's battles don't always go to the stronger or faster man,
But sooner or later the man who wins is the one who thinks he can.
Again congratulations on 90 years, here’s to 90 more, and best of luck to all of you, take care.

如果你認為你被打敗了，那麼你真的就一敗塗地;
如果你認為你不敢放手一搏，那麼你就會退縮畏怯;
如果你想贏，但是你認為你不能贏得勝利;
那麼毫無疑問，你的意志就會帶你走向失敗一途。
生活中充滿了挑戰與戰鬥，
但是勝利並非總是屬於更強和更快的人，
